Known | The Enneagram

Updated: Mar 16, 2020

I spent the past year or so in London. While I was there, one of the fruits of that living experience was being introduced to personality tests like Myers & Briggs and the Enneagram. The more time I spent learning about myself, about my friends, the deeper my conversations with them went, the greater my love and appreciation for who they are grew.

I particularly enjoyed diving into the Enneagram. For those of you that have not yet been introduced to this tool, the Enneagram is a system that proposes that there are 9 personality types and that each of us are born with one dominant of the nine types. I am a Five. And let me tell you! When I read and learned more about the Five, I was absolutely mind-blown. For years, I had felt like certain parts of me were weird or different or 'abnormal' and here I was, being described in great detail.

N.B.: If you've never taken the test and wish to do so, I'll provide a link at the end so that you can find your own personality type.

The more I learned about the type Five, the more I felt challenged but also celebrated, the more I allowed myself to celebrate every piece of me God had created. And the more I was able to see purpose in how He made me and made the people around me, the more I was able to love and serve them.

So, to help celebrate who you are, I created a Playlist titled Known | The Enneagram.

It's a mixtape of podcast episodes and songs that describe each personality type, the good, the bad and the ugly, only to get to the beautiful. The first episode in the playlist introduces the series. After each type, I selected songs that spoke about what was said so that you have time to reflect and celebrate through music.

This playlist is a love letter to all who are figuring out who they are and how beautiful and worthy to be celebrated they are. If you're ready to take the test, click here. If you're a classic Five or simply feel the need to read everything you can about the Enneagram, click here. If you're ready to dive into this playlist, click on the images or play it right here!

If you don't have Spotify but use YouTube instead, I created a playlist on there as well!

Enjoy!

And let me know your thoughts on this tool and which type you are!
