How to Create Clarity on Instagram

Updated: May 7, 2021

Hey there! I will admit this. It took time for me to figure out what my own Instagram page would be about. I changed styles, filters, vision, etc. Should I show you how 'confused' my page looked? (I'll let you explore that on your own 😆)

What about now? What happened? CLARITY happened my friend. And with clarity came vision, purpose, and strategy. So many of my business opportunities have come out of Instagram. And, if you're looking to turn your page into something that can be viable for you, a tool for you to have impact, as a brand, as a business, as an organization, it will take CLARITY.

CLARITY can seem expensive and complicated but, at its core, it really isn't. To start, allowing your page to evolve takes CLARITY in these 4 aspects:

If you'd like to brainstorm and think through how, as a business, brand, organization, you'll create clarity, you can download my free e-book, including the worksheet inside, today. All you have to do is to subscribe and join the #EmailCrew.

What about VISUALS, you say? There are many ways to create them, especially if you're on a budget. Let me share with you 3 different options, 3 different apps that I've used over the years, and that have served me well... Later on, I'll share more tutorials and tips on ways to use and take advantage of these tools.

Speaking of presets, I released my first preset pack a few months ago and today, I'm excited to finally be releasing 2 more presets. I've loved using and fine-tuning these presets because I've seen how much beauty and consistency they've given my Instagram feed (and my photos in general). I'm so grateful for those that purchased the presets and, I'm even happier to provide you guys with more choices.

I've made sure to craft a page on my website specifically for presets. I've also created a few tutorials for Lightroom. You can visit the page today

You can check out the site to learn more or hang out on Instagram @meljeantypresets to see how special each preset is.

What about CAPTIONS, Mélissa? Don't think about adding a caption as a last-minute affair. Captions provide context. Captions tell your audience more about you, more about your values. Consider captions like sending a text to someone. Once you figure out what your STORY is, you'll know how to talk to and what to share with your audience.

Here are also some tips on improving your caption skills:

If after thinking about your GOAL, your STORY, you need more help with creating VISUALS and a STRATEGY, you can book an IG Consult with me. There, we'll spend 30 minutes to an hour on Zoom. I'll help you get from where you are at to where you'd love to go. If this is something you might be interested in, you can book a session with me today! Visit the IG Consult page to learn more.
